The couples that book me are having a wedding to celebrate getting married, not have a photoshoot

My approach to wedding photography is pretty simple: I focus on what actually happens. I don’t want your day to feel like a staged photoshoot or for you to be constantly worrying about smiling for the camera. Instead of taking you away from your family and friends for long drawn out staged photos, I hang back, read the room, and capture things as they naturally unfold — the big moments, the quiet in-betweens, the laughter, the chaos on the dance floor, and all the little details you might miss on the day. Group shots are kept to a minimum (around 6 sets is perfect and won’t take too much time out of your day) and the only time that i’ll need you all to myself is for some relaxed, simple and stylish portraits that will take no more than 20 minutes.

Weddings are all about emotion and genuine connection, and it is my job to tell the story of your wedding in a way that feels honest, relaxed, and true to you. The end result is a collection of images that brings the day back exactly as it felt, not just how it looked. Without ever feeling like you spent it in front of a camera.

Relaxed, unobtrusive documentary photography that focuses on the bits in between the traditional wedding moments just as much as the moments themselves. Resulting in images that are fun, bold, emotional and tell the full story of your day.
You might be surprised but most of the couples that I work with say exactly the same thing! Because my style allows me capture the essence of your day without asking you to pose you can relax and enjoy celebrating with family and friends. Trust me to do the rest.
As described in the My Approach section, I do take group shots and relaxed portraits but what makes my work appeal to the couples that book me is my hands off approach and that I let the day play out naturally. If you’re looking for looking for somebody to work through a long list of staged portraits or group snaps that’s great and there are plenty of other photographers that specialise in this but i’m probably not the guy for you.
Your images will be delivered via an online gallery where you can save or download your favourites plus purchase any prints or albums through your bespoke online store.
I aim to deliver your final gallery between 4-6 weeks after your wedding day. During busier periods this can sometimes change to 6-8 weeks but I will keep you fully updated on the progress of your delivery throughout.
Absolutely. Choosing a wedding photographer is a massive decision and you need to be sure that they are the right fit for you. I have a stories page where you can see highlights of some of the other weddings that I have shot. I can also send you a full gallery upon request.
Yes I have public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
I am based in Cheshire but I am happy to travel anywhere to tell the story of a wedding day!
100%. After your initial enquiry we will arrange a zoom call to get to know each other a bit and give you chance to ask any questions that you might have. If you decide to book me then we will meet approximately one month before you wedding date (preferably in person) to go through your plans for the day.
